What is Lecithin?
Lecithin is a naturally occurring mixture of phospholipids found in all animal and human cells, which is essential for many of the body's functions. Phospholipids are part of biological membranes and they are responsible for most of the functional properties of lecithin. It is also a natural source of choline (a type of vitamin B) in the form of phosphatidylcholine. Choline is an essential nutrient for brain and liver function. It is a component of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and is needed for cell membrane integrity and to facilitate the movement of fats in and out of cells.
This product contains 1200mg of lecithin per capsule.
Clinical Studies
A study on lecithin has resulted in a significant reduction in total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol concentration. Phosphoditylcholine (PC) is a superior agent against liver damage. It shows improvement in several indicators of liver damage, speeds up functional and structural recovery of liver tissue and accelerates the restorations of overall well-being. PC also increases brain acetylcholine concentration and improves memory. Lecithin is also known to smoothen milk flow.
